Ode to Joy Flowers: Branded Portraits by Houston Brand Photographer Lightbulb League

Yana of Ode to Joy Flowers is, and has always been, a true joy to work with. No pun intended there. We’ve been working with Yana since the old days; pre-pandemic, if you will. Her signature style of using strictly the best blooms with very little greenery is what helps her to stand out. I’ve never seen her design an arrangement or use a flower that doesn’t look straight out of a painting.

Here are some of our favorite images from her Houston brand photo session with us. Scroll below to read about her session.

In June of 2023, Yana’s session with us had an ultimate goal in mind: creating soft and feminine imagery of Yana with several of her luscious floral arrangements, working photos of Yana, and new portraits to serve her business as she and her family moved overseas to open her very own flower shoppe in England. She actually just had the grand opening the other day, just a short year after this session took place. Talk about a powerhouse! Go check out Yana’s Instagram to see how beautiful it is.

A good idea for your brand photo session with us to to utilize an outfit change, like Yana did. We are huge fans of variety within your final photo gallery from us, so it stretches your dollar further by really making the most of your time spent with us at the studio. She had a more polished outfit for portraits, then a crisp, clean white button down to wear when we photographed her ‘working’ photos. Combine the outfit change with a different number of arrangements + flat lays and it gave Yana a good amount of photos to choose from!

Once Yana’s gallery was delivered, she picked her favorites and has done a marvelous job of putting them to work for her blooming (and booming) business.
