When March rolled around and the entire world went into self-quarantine, we knew we wouldn’t be able to offer the typical Lightbulb League brand photography experience. While 2020 was the officially “The Year of the Suck”, Lightbulb League strategically pivoted to make sure we could still safely serve clients in a couple of different ways.
Mail In Brand Sessions
We began to offer mail-in sessions, which were a big hit! Clients ship us their products, we style and photograph the products in our home studio office, and then we ship the products back. With an average turnaround of 2-3 weeks, these sessions accommodated many of our clients budgets and timeframes, while keeping everyone safe.
The few in-person brand + headshot sessions
We did a couple of sessions in-person with clients towards the end of the year, and it was a refreshing change of pace from almost an entire year spent at home. While maintaining social distancing and wearing masks, gloves, and cleaning sets in between setups, our in-person brand and headshot sessions were a bit more tedious. The work was worth the reward, in the end, as everyone was kept safe, healthy, and comfortable.
We would be remiss if we didn’t mention our stock photos! Our high resolution, magazine ready stock photos are by far the most affordable, simple, and safe way for clients to gain beautiful imagery for online marketing. Furthermore, there’s a great variety to serve many different brand aesthetics. Stock photos are something we started offering in 2020 and it’s been a lovely learning experience. We’re so excited to shift our stock photo strategies this year to better serve our clients.
To wrap it up, 2020 wasn’t the best, but it certainly wasn’t the worst. We appreciate each one of you that signs up for our newsletter, invests in a brand shoot, purchases stock photos, and supports Lightbulb League brand photography in any way. Check out some of our favorite shots below from 2020.
Finally, if you’ve made it to the bottom, you get a gold star! Happy New Year!
